Message from the Dean
The College of Political Science is one of the key colleges at the University of Duhok. It aims to prepare academic and professional cadres capable of analyzing contemporary political issues and understanding local, regional, and international transformations. The college encompasses an elite group of specialized academics and provides an educational environment that fosters research and academic dialogue.
The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs through its active academic departments, which include fields such as:
- Political Systems and Public Policy
- International Relations and Diplomacy
The college focuses on combining theoretical knowledge with practical application. It encourages students to participate in scientific debates, political simulations, and field research, all of which contribute to building a comprehensive academic and professional personality.

Mission
The mission of the College of Political Sciences is to contribute to the development of education, scientific research and the objectives of the university in a civic educational environment within a diverse student body and teaching staff. The college aspires to become one of the best colleges of political sciences in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. The College of Political Sciences believes that one of its main tasks is to pursue knowledge and understanding of the political aspects of the human endeavor, and then transfer this knowledge to others, as well as linking this knowledge to the real world in creative, critical and constructive ways to promote understanding of real interests in politics through scientific and educational methods.
