I have BSc in architecture, MSc in city planning and PhD in built heritage conservation from the University of Nottingham, UK. I am practicing architecture and urban design and built heritage conservation -academically and professionally- over the last 20 years continuously. I am teaching undergraduates and postgraduates in different public/governmental and private/international universities, while worked with UNESCO/HCECR on Erbil citadel revitalisation and prepared full guides on a restoration policy of Qishla of Koya; in addition to working as a designer, site architect, project architect and consultant of many urban and architectural projects, such as the American village project in Erbil. I have a series of publication dedicated to themes related to heritage studies accompanied with a series of workshops and international conferences disseminated globally. Whilst I resume my job in both fields of academia and profession, I am open to, and looking to do postdoctoral fellowship related to my major, thus boosting my scientific position further.

Teaching Experience

I teach different theoretical and practical material for both undergraduates and postgraduates related to architectural design studio, urban design studio, urban regeneration studio, freehand architectural sketches, as well as architectural criticism theories, design methodology, Islamic heritage, art and architecture, green buildings, sustainable design methods, design and materials, construction management and technology, building technologies, and urban design theories
